What is an ETF?
An Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) is a basket of securities — most often tracking an index — that trades on the exchange like a stock. ETFs combine the diversification of a mutual fund with the tradability of a share, and typically come with much lower expense ratios than active mutual funds.
